I am pleased to once again be adjudicating THESPY AWARD auditions this year. It is so rewarding and encouraging to see the work of young performers throughout Pennsylvania.

The International Thespian Excellence Awards (or Thespys for short) recognize the highest level of achievement in school theatre performance, technical theatre, playwriting, and filmmaking.
This educational program celebrates the work of theatre students, giving them the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical material, technical designs, plays, and short films, and recognizing their achievements on local, regional, and international stages.
2023 PENNSYLVANIA STATE THESPIAN FESTIVAL
I was thrilled to be back in the classroom teaching live at the PA State Festival. The students were very engaged for my Video Audition Workshop. I was also happy to judge Solo Musical Theatre for the National Thespy competition this cycle.
Congrats to all the students, teachers, Guest Artists, and Directors at the 2021 Florida State Thespian Festival. I was thrilled to adjudicate One Acts and enjoy lots of talent and creativity!

Just completed an intensive Monologue / Audition Workshop with Karen Kohlhaas at the Atlantic Theatre in New York City. An awesome and enlightening experience for coaching monologues and auditions. Looking forward to sharing this technique with my students!
ad a very productive two-day intensive for Acting Teachers at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC (July 2019) . Lots of focus on Meisner and other techniques and teaching methods. It was awesome and inspiring working with teachers from across the U.S.
I presented three workshops at the 2018 International Theatre Festival produced by the Educational Theatre Association in June 2018 and will be back again for the 2019 Festival. The three 2018 workshops were: Acting-In the Moment; Who Am I and How did I Get Here - Character Development; and Rehearsal Technique - A Journey of Discovery. The Festival is held in Lincoln, Nebraska and attended by students from across the U.S. and International. https://www.schooltheatre.org/itf2018/learning/workshops
For the fifth year, I adjudicated at the Florida State Thespian Festival 2018, the largest Theater Festival in the U.S. The talent was outstanding, with a special shout out to the mainstage production of Bright Star. I judged One-Acts, Monologues, Solo Musical Theatre, & Mainstage. Congrats to all the talented students who participated. https://floridathespians.com/
I was thrilled to teach three workshops at the 2017 Texas Thespian Festival in Dallas. The workshops were packed and the student talent and commitment was very impressive. Looking forward to more teaching in Texas. http://www.texasthespians.org/
Off-Broadway in October 2017, I had the pleasure to work with longtime associate and collaborator, Debra Whitfield. Debra's new play - FIRE - opened to strong reviews and very positive and supportive feedback. Stay tuned for future productions. http://firetheplay.com/
